Today we welcomed Baby Avery into this crazy place we called "World." David's sister had her first little girl @ 7:13pm this evening. After having 2 boys you could imagine the hype that this brought for the family. David is firm on his idea that since Avery was born today of all days, being April Fool's Day and all, she will have his sense of humor. For those of us fortunate enough to be grazed with David's tales will know all too well what is in Avery's future. The pictures below are a few of family that we got to take quick snaps of before getting ordered out by a hungry little baby.
Avery Servaites: Born April 1, 2009
Grandpa Lopez and his little girl
David & I with little Baby Avery: Yes, look what I can do. I can hold the baby. She was so teeny, and I was afraid of breaking her like a little china doll. If you look closely, my hands look as though I have a massive Hulk like grip on her. I assure you I didn't. OMG, Chel (The Ivory Wonder), could you imagine me with one of these tiny mini humans? I am not sure if I could. We'll leave that one up to the big guy upstairs.
Grandma,Little Avery and Big Brother Ryan. The second oldest, Jack, was a little on the apprehensive side.
David and his older sister Barbara, Avery's Mom, and Little Avery. I must say she looked like she just had a relaxing trip to the spa. I guess the more children you have the easier the birth gets. She made it look as though it were effortless.
David with his 2 nephews, Jack, and Ryan. Jack warmed up to his little sister Avery towards the end of the visit. He gave mom and Little Avery a kiss good night. It happened all too fast for me to catch it with my camera.

It's a lot more fun to be an aunt and enjoy/help with the baby then go back home and go to bed for a nice 8 hrs of uninterrupted goodness :) It feels like just yesterday I was in the hospitol holding my newest neice (2 years ago)and yes, they are insanely tiny and breakable seeming, but I felt like I had a good handle on her. I wasn't scurred...that shit about being all rested like having been to the spa is BS though; it's gonna hurt like hell!!! When I hear "Avery" all I can think of is the little boy from Charlotte's Web. Congratulations DLo's family!
