Mentality

This is a piece that was inspired by the way co-workers interact within a company. No matter what age, sometimes people act ridiculous. The "High School" mentality seems to stick with many after those years have long passed. I like to be the outsider observing and this is an insight to what I view on a daily basis. As the window shopper, so to speak, I see people's "True Colors" shine or in some cases darken.

MENTALity

Random flutter remains of the day
awaken into isolate storm

Groups of scandalous and petty nothing
a gander or two may do just the trick
"Let's see what will make them TICK."

A silent rivalry knows all too well
Blackness leads into hell

To each their own they say
with misery spread in gray

Thought not much of this
Will it ever fade?

A word thrashing into phrase
Unkind breath attacking

A quiet warrior with shades
Rests assured with grace

Push comes to shove
but grace carries on

Weakness the silence portrays
yet, a peace has arranged

Do not be ashamed
A time will come that you will reign
