Dear Me,
Another day in paradise at the work place. Gotta love it. Learned today that some people must take a Gossip course as extra curriculum for school. Why is it that people can't just say what they mean. If you don't like someone, don't sugar coat it. You are entitled to your opinions. With that said, you don't have to go out of your way to make them feel uncomfortable. There is a certain common courtesy that should be withheld, but you also don't have to go all Suzy Q. either! Yet, people love to GOSSIP. It must be some sort of social norm that people evolve into. Partly to make themselves feel less abnormal. To fit in. To feel accepted. To feel as though they belong to something. Personally, I think it may be best to be that one puzzle piece that won't quite fit. Yet, at the same time be that puzzle piece that finishes the puzzle.
I ate crap for lunch. Arbys. I didn't even opt for one of those healthier options all the fast food chains are now sporting on their menus. Nope. Went straight for the "Real roast beef" sandwich with cheese, of course, a jamocha shake, curly fries, and the jalapeno bites. Talk about bad choices being made. My bad choices today were made at lunch time.
Today a co-worker taught me a new word, Poon Poon. She was telling a story about how she asked her niece what she ate for dinner.
Her niece replied, "Chicken."
She then asked her 5 year old little nephew
His response while proudly swinging his arms was, "Poon Poon."
She said shocked by his answer, "What did you eat?"
Again. A little more agitated the boy said," I said Poon, Poon!"
I don't speak 5 year old. So, I asked her what is Poon Poon, thinking this was some specialized Jamaican cuisine.NOPE! I learned today that Poon Poon is Va Jay Jay. Yup. Exactly what Jennifer Love Hewitt says she bedazzles.
It is true that you learn something new every day because today I sure did just that. I also learned that the character in the Quickie Mart on The Simpson's is Apoo not Aboo. As Aboo is the monkey from Aladdin.I probably am spelling both incorrectly.
I get my braces soon and as it gets closer I am starting to feel guilty about getting them. Why are women like that. We are always too busy taking care of everyone and everything else that we severely neglect ourselves. Then, when we try to do something for us, we feel guilty. Men wonder why we are so emotional and MOODY. Well, hell you try being us for a day, week, month or year. Let's see how you are. Women must be pre-programmed with a chip of some kind. Right out of the birthing canal the doctor whisks us away. They implant this chip into our brain , clean us up, and smack our ass, before returning us to our parents. Yup. This has got to be it.
Going for a walk.

You might be one of the last people to know about "poon" and Apu :) I can't believe a 5 year old said that, though! Don't feel guilty about your braces; you've wanted them for years. Just commit! I thought you were going to say you were feeling nervous as the date approaches, not guilty.
Yup. I know. Maybe back in my hayday years I even used the word Poon, but those years are far far away now. LOL! I had no clue.
